Morphology:
Wings. FW length 24-27mm. Small and could be confused with some Cissia species; distinguished by the scalloped HW margin; golden yellow patches on HW underside along medial area; ocelli on HW margin indistinct (DeVries, 1987).
Associations:
ACG foodplant records (Janzen & Hallwachs, 2009): Guadua paniculata (302), Rhipidocladum racemiflorum (2).
