T. rufomarginata has the inner dark line in the hindwing curved, and not straight as in T. virgilia. The distal band on the Brasil specimen (GU205871) is more angular than in the typical rufomarginata. Based on congruence with the GenBank sequences of Wahlberg and Pena, the one we have in ACG is T. virgilia (although the ACG barcodes are labelled as T. rufomarginata at the moment). See also the holotypes on the butterflies of America website.
